WeWork is launching a new event series to give people and big ideas a voice. Town Halls @ We will convene city and industry leaders to host conversations on issues that matter locally.
Our first in this series of events will focus on an issue of critical importance to all of us in LA: equity in access to a diversity of transit solutions for all.
Join WeWork, local LA transportation stakeholders, and community leaders for our first-ever Town Hall @ We event as we delve into the many facets of where, when, and what kind of transit network we build for whom and how.Â
The We Company has always been about more than just space to work. We’re building a global, physical platform designed to bring people together and build community. Our mission is to help people build purpose-filled lives and careers with meaningful connections along the way, and we believe that begins with an open and engaged citizenry -which is why we're launching Town Halls @ We.
69 percent of WeWork members worldwide use sustainable forms of public transit such as walking, cycling, or public transit, compared to a 19-percent U.S. average in big cities. In fact, when we are considering new locations, walkable access to public transit for our members is a must. With nearly 20,000 WeWork members in LA County commuting to and from work each day and growing, an open dialogue on the future of mobility is an important one for our community at large.
